Golf Society formed in Riverview

On Monday 21 January 2008, the constitution was agreed, and election of office bearers took place in the Riverview Bar to oficially launch the Riverview Golf Society.

With the number of golfers who regularly visit the Riverview the society was formed to enable them to organise and enjoy outings and hold society competitions.

A number of members have already indicated that they will sponsor a trophy of some kind so there will be something to play for in the coming months and years to come.

The Office Bearers elected were:-

• Captain - Jim Harwood 
• Vice-Captain - Trevor Stapleton
• Handicap/Match and Secretary - Brian Gloag
• Treasurer - Andrew Richardson

Patrons of the Riverview who wish to join can obtain a membership application from the bar.

Membership is open to all patrons not just those who are golfers or golf club members. It's a social thing!!
